90’s Swag Only People From So Cal Can Relate To – 187 Hudda

Streetwear clothing originated from the streets of Los Angeles giving teenagers an option outside your typical Robinson’s May and Miller’s Outpost during the late 90’s.

Fashion in the 90’s was a mix of 70’s retro and street culture all mixed in one. In the early days of streetwear you had brands like 187 Hudda who took a lot of slack for their designs and themes.

Most of them were geared towards police brutality which ironically has not changed much today. As unfortunate as that may be other brands started to play off this. Once 187 Hudda got reprimanded that put the brakes on everything.

Eventually brands like Stussy and Mossimo would make their push. They eventually came up with classic designs like the 8ball and the Adidas shoes.

It would be great to see some more of these classic designs come back. Who knows we might just do a line with IllKids Streetwear for the Holidays.

Stay tuned.
